Assertiveness training
Mastering assertive communication
This practical workshop equips participants with the tools and confidence to express their thoughts, feelings, and needs clearly — while respecting others.
Assertiveness is key to effective communication, building trust, and strengthening personal and professional relationships. It’s about speaking up with honesty and clarity. When we communicate assertively, we reduce conflict, boost self-belief, and engage more meaningfully with those around us.
Course outline
In this workshop we’ll look at shared experiences of assertive behavior and examples of when you find yourselves needing to be assertive. We’ll look at what gets in the way of us being assertive and provide examples of being assertive and how to get there.
We’ll look at personal impact - when you are confident and realise that you have value, you are better able to assert yourself, especially with those that are trying to undermine your thoughts and actions.
Using real life examples we’ll explore the use of language and how key words and phrases can improve our assertiveness.
